Abstract

netVmg, Inc. commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate its Flow Control Platform (FCP) a purpose-built network appliance deployed at the enterprise network edge that intelligently monitors transit connections and directs traffic across multiple-ISP links, based on real-time data, to conform with user-defined performance and cost policies. The Tolly Group subjected the FCP to a battery of performance benchmarks that measured the device's aggregate system throughput, the total number of prefixes it can passively monitor, real-time latency and throughput reporting capabilities, dynamic route updating based on cost and performance policies and feature verification of the command line interface and Web-based graphical reporting tools.
