Abstract

iPolicy Networks commissioned The Tolly Group to benchmark the performance of its ipEnforcer 5000, a carrier class, multi-service security enforcement device. The ipEnforcer combines the functions of a firewall, intrusion detection server (IDS), URL screening, VLAN, network address translation and other security services into a single device. The Tolly Group benchmarked the ipEnforcer 5000 for both throughput performance and security capabilities in a configuration representing a mult-service managed service provider network. Tests included zero-loss firewall throughput tests, intrusion detection and URL screening.
