Abstract

Nortel Networks commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate the high-availability and reliability of its Passport 8600 Routing Switch. Specifically, The Tolly Group investigated the impact that the Passport 8600’s Split Multi-link Trunking (Split MLT) and high availability capabilities have on network reconvergence and on survivability of key switch components.
