Abstract
Cabletron Systems, Inc. commissioned The Tolly Group to measure the performance of its SmartSwitch 9500 modular switching chassis with 224 ATM OC-3 ports installed. The Tolly Group tested the aggregate cell-switching throughput as well as the peak SVC call setup rate and its simultaneous call capacity.
